When my children were young, one of the easiest way to stretch our budget was sewing all their clothes... but sewing also provided solutions. Among children hated the elastic band on their pyjamas... so even if buy pyjama I ended up changing then so that they would be worn. Thank God for ribbing... and as they grew up hating elastic!
Sewing for children is a great way to learn... the young child is the less critical that they are your sewing skills... and you invest in a huge amount of fabric sewing for an enfant.Si you do not have a child sewing for and want to learn techniques, to donate your creations to local think local church, hospital, the Salvation Army or Good Will... some one can always use clothes for a child!
